How It Works

Open Your Pay to Send Facility

Contact our team to set up your Pay to Send account. There is no monthly fee or subscription — simply fund your facility when you are ready to start shipping.

Load Credit via Advance Payment

Make an advance payment into your facility by EFT or bank transfer. The full amount is credited to your Pay to Send balance and is available immediately once payment reflects.

Place Shipments as Needed

Book collections and arrange shipments in the normal way. Each shipment cost is automatically deducted from your credit balance — no invoices, no payment delays.

Receive Your 5% Discount

Every shipment placed through your Pay to Send facility qualifies for a 5% discount on the standard shipping price, subject to the conditions below. The discounted amount is what gets deducted from your balance.

Top Up and Continue

When your balance runs low, simply make another advance payment to keep shipping. You will receive balance notifications to help you plan ahead.

Discount Conditions

The 5% Pay to Send discount applies to all qualifying shipments, subject to the following conditions:

  • Your Pay to Send facility must have a sufficient credit balance to cover the full discounted shipment cost at the time of booking.
  • The discount applies to the standard published shipping rate for the selected service. It cannot be combined with other promotional discounts, special contract rates, or negotiated pricing.
  • Shipments must be booked through the standard ExpressRoad booking process and linked to your Pay to Send account.
  • The discount applies to the base shipping charge only. Surcharges such as fuel surcharges, remote area fees, insurance premiums, or special handling fees are charged at the standard rate.
  • ExpressRoad reserves the right to amend the discount percentage with 30 days’ written notice to account holders.
  • The Pay to Send facility and associated discount are subject to ExpressRoad’s Terms & Conditions.

Funding Your Facility

You can load credit into your Pay to Send facility using any of the following payment methods:

Please note: Credit loaded into your Pay to Send facility is non-refundable but does not expire. Unused credit remains available for future shipments indefinitely.

Step-by-Step: Getting Started with Pay to Send

Apply for a Pay to Send Account

Call us on 086 9990 559 or email info@expressroad.co.za to request a Pay to Send facility. Our team will set up your account and provide you with a unique account reference number.

Make Your First Advance Payment

Load credit into your facility using any of the payment methods listed above. Use your account reference number so the payment can be allocated to your facility. There is no minimum deposit amount.

Receive Confirmation

Once your payment is received and allocated, you will receive confirmation of your updated balance via email. Your facility is now active and ready to use.

Book Your Shipments

Place shipments through the standard ExpressRoad booking process — by phone, email, or online. Let our team know you are using your Pay to Send facility when booking, and the shipment will be linked to your account.

Discount Applied Automatically

The 5% discount is calculated and applied to each qualifying shipment. The discounted amount is deducted from your credit balance. You will receive a transaction summary after each shipment.

Monitor and Top Up

Keep track of your balance through your transaction statements. When your balance runs low, simply make another advance payment to continue shipping at the discounted rate. You will receive low-balance notifications to help you plan ahead.
